Sequoia sempervirens<br>Redwood burl knife blanks with incredible figure. Not impregnated with acrylic resin. These are unsurfaced single blanks, NOT scaled into 2 pieces. We specifically choose the stock from which the redwood burl knife blanks are cut. The figure of our redwood burl can be intense to more subtle. From vascular with tight eyes, to flame-cut or lace, our redwood burl knife blanks are sure to impress. The pictures displayed are of a single batch of material, and were taken a couple years ago. As material is exhausted and replaced, the new material may or may not have the same appearance as those in the pics. The blanks vary in size, and are perfect for knife handle material, pistol grip customizing or whatever the craftsman can think of.<br>Redwood burl, similar as with most every burl, will often contain natural defects. Examples of these in our material may be small bark pecks, sap pockets, cooked out bug holes or surface checks.<br>Other subtle flaws and minor defects like these can be found in blanks on occasion.<br>For this reason we have separated the obvious condition of the blanks into two types, blem and regular.<br>Regular<br>-<br>solid, exceptional examples of redwood burl. Minor imperfections, if any, may be present as found in all burl.<br>Blem<br>-<br>blanks with obvious natural defects or other imprefections not allowing us to sell at full price. Great value though, as many defects will sand out or can be corrected with CA glue. These blanks may also work great<br>for mineral/gemstones inlay or color epoxies.
